Hello readers! I apologize for the looong break between updates. I have been away from a computer for all this time. But I’m back and will be updating daily again! Hurray!

I did manage to watch a couple of episodes of Ken Burns’ National Parks documentary though… and love love love it.  I’m catching up with the full episodes online!

As you can tell, I love camping and nature so I am excited to watch the rest. The interviewers say exactly how one feels (or at least how I feel) about these parks and our natural environment in the U.S. I think one said that visiting these parks, being in nature, was like “coming home”. I loved that.

Yosemite has a special place in my heart because I’d visited there so many times as a kid.

I tried to find some graphic design inspired by our nation’s parks but found very few. Anyone know of any?

I did find these BEAUTIFUL posters of the Bay Area. Wouldn’t they look so snappy as a set? They are (and many more) available for purchase at the Parks Co. — and printed on recycled paper! yay!

Also available from the same site are these repos of some WPA posters from the late 1930s, advertising the National Parks, which look pretty spectacular.
