Some exciting news to share with you all…
I’m engaged! I’ve been dying to share the news but had to wait until the right time to tell you all. It happened at Machu Picchu when I was hot, dirty and covered with mosquito bites, but that didn’t matter because now, after four years of dating, I will marry my comrade Kevin who is one of the sweetest, supportive persons I know. (And doesn’t think I’m weird when I see a cute kitten and squeal with adoration.)
We had the ring designed by Georgetown designer, Poppy Metals, a one-woman shop who creates such lovely pieces. Heidi worked with what we were interested in, a gray diamond with a brushed/matte finish on the band. And I think it turned out beautifully! And, a sweet surprise from Kevin, had the coordinates of Machu Picchu engraved on the inside of the band.
I promise to not make this a wedding blog but will probably be sharing some ideas or inspiration for the wedding so I hope you don’t mind. And I’d love your ideas too!
