Dressy Dressy

04Feb

I have many weddings this summer (7!) to attend and I’m starting to look for some fun dresses to wear. Where do YOU like to shop for interesting, beautiful dresses? Anthropologie is a classic favorite but they don’t have their spring collection out yet.

This dress would be beautiful if it wasn’t… pink. Sorry, not a pink fan. But if it was a champagne/grey color, now you’re talking.

_6019366And this one from ModCloth would be so fun except I think black is too harsh for a summer wedding…

10873-1Also from ModCloth is this dress which is beautiful and could be a contender — I’d feel like a wave wearing it!

10611-1Hm… maybe I just need to be patient for the Spring collections … it’s slim pickings right now. :)

Early Spring

01Feb

Yes it’s only the first day of February, but February means the last month of winter so spring is right around the corner, right? right? :) Some sneak peeks of “early spring” from Stewart + Brown Organic Pioneers

40361_av140362_av1I love the slouchy pants with the sandals and cardigan…

Of course, Anthropologie has some “spring-y” looks as well like this lovely ensemble one with a summery top layered over a warm shirt:

Mad about handbags

12Jan

Even though holding a clutch is not very practical for me, I LOVE these clutches from Mad Imports. They’reĀ  hand-woven from sustainable goods and are fair-traded from Madagascar.

This one is more practical for me; it’s even called “The Lug”:

This is a perfect beach bag — or even a magazine holder at home:

Inspired by nature

I just found my new favorite clothing line: Spool No.72 (found via unruly things). Designing from nature, Native American and the classic old west, Spool No. 72 just has that casual yet stylistic and cultural motif references which I love.

Knits for kicks

22Dec

I do enjoy knitting in the wintertime although I need to start learning how to knit in a curved/round fashion. Right now I can only knit straight things. That leaves to me scarves.

Anyway, once I do graduate from knitting 101 at some point, I’d love to start making these fun designs:

Or to make sure no one throws away your water bottle, you can jazz it up with this intimidating shark cozy:

Love these fingerless gloves with their cute buttons from homelab:

Oh and I’d love to learn the cable knit style as well like this beautiful scarf:

Look who’s a Happy Camper

09Dec

happy camper t-shirtOne of my *dearest* friends sent me a wonderful surprise in the mail the other day… It was this “Happy Camper!” T-Shirt!! She made my week! A Happy Camper I am indeed! Plus — the shirt is made with sustainable materials so it can’t get any more perfect than that. Thank you Skit!
