World Cup

17Jun

When the World Cup comes around, I get excited. Not really because of my soccer playing stint in my youth, but because it’s like the Olympics: Everyone around the world coming together — all on an equal playing field.

When I saw this PR kit designed by w+k studio, I was blown away. It’s Nike’s new “Write the Future” campaign:

Yulia Brodskaya, artist and illustrator, loves typography and paper and her brilliant designs encompass both. The detail of the paper structure with the rainbow of colors must be so labor intensive but I’m sure satisfying as well with these as end products:

Here’s my card –

Finding business cards that are letterpress printed can be hard to find. Publicide, a design, printing and letterpress printing company in New York City creates really clever, fresh cards. I’d love to be a recipient of one of these:

Holiday warm-up

20Oct

I know, I know… it can’t be time for the Holidays yet, right? You’re right — I know it’s WAY too early to be thinking about the Holidays. But for designers, we’ve already mocked up some ideas for our holiday cards. I love these Christmas cards from Fredflare. They bring a fun twist on the traditional cards.
