Special weekend

Feliz Friday

A Feliz Friday indeed for I am off to Miami for a long weekend!

Seeing the sights and my cousin who resides in the city known as “the gateway to the Americas”. Having never been to South Florida, I’m pretty excited to see the Art Deco buildings, eat some Cuban cuisine, lie on some beaches, and watch the roller skaters glide by (my vision of Miami may be off…)

Snowpocalypse

That’s what it’s being called… in my area, we got around 25 inches! Pretty sizeable for around here. Washington DC is pretty shut down today so it looks like another snow day! Here are some photos from the weekend:

It’s a new year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful, happy, and delicious holiday season!

I’m happy and excited to be back from the holidays!

One new feature I’d like to announce on the Happy Camper blog is in the comment section. I’m sad to say that the spammers have hit my blog so I’ve had to add the CAPTCHA feature. I hope this doesn’t deter anyone from commenting; it’s one little extra step from sharing your voice but it’s to keep Happy Camper safe and *happy*.

I received some wonderful goodies from Santa this year including some letterpress inks and other tools to facilitate the press! Also, I received some beautiful ornaments from this post and the Muir Woods poster! What did you get this holiday?
