A paper crane wedding

I found this idea through The Girl in the Pink Wedding Dress and absolutely thought it was gorgeous. Usually, I would shy away from a sort of “one visual themed” soiree but using paper cranes not only has a beautiful symbolism (symbolizing love, peace, longevity and patience; cranes also mate for life) but you can do so much with them! The garlands hanging down are my absolute favorite.

Also, gotta love the letterpress printed invites!

Starting off this week, I wanted to share a few more photos highlighting the details of my sister’s wedding (because, you know, it’s all about the details…)

Favor cards that I created with letterpress.

Vintage postcards were scattered around the table. All of the postcards were places that the bride and groom either grew up in or lived for a significant amount of time. How fun is that?

Baby/kid photos were hung across a line.

My sister’s wedding

My sister was married this weekend in my hometown in Pennsylvania! Everything was beautiful, especially my sister. These were a few photos I was able to take in between the craziness. More (professional) photos to come!

Special weekend

I’m heading out a bit early this week due to … my sister’s wedding! My one and only older sister is getting married in our hometown on Saturday in a yellow barn. I’ll post photos after the weekend!

Wedding season

Now that my sister’s wedding is only 3 weeks away (and the 7 weddings I have this summer), I’ve got weddings on the brain. So when I saw the photos of this wedding, I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. Those beautiful big mountains, the shining late summer sun, the missionary church…and, I don’t know how they did it but the hanging chandeliers fit in perfectly.
